TT: 5 Rules To Have Clear Skin

Hello my Beauties!!!

It's Tip Tuesday today! And I think today's tip is one of the most important... We will talk how to get clear skin with this 5 simple rules, or at least stay clear. Certain acne problems need medical attention, and I am not a doctor, so if it's your case I can not promise you 100% result, but it will help your skin  stay clear if you get there with medications. But if your breakouts are not that serious and you tried everything but nothing helps... Well, these rules could save your life! (ha ha, I hope your life doesn't actually depend on this)

5 Simple Rules:

  1. Wash your face 2 times a day. It might sound banal, but it is THE key to clear skin. And don't just wash for the sake of being squeaky clean, using anything you've got. You have to choose what's actually right for your skin. We all have different skin types, and it's extremely important to use what your skin needs, otherwise it will worsen. Personally, I have the worst skin I think, it's combo, normal, but can get extremely dry and very acne prone. Weird, I know, that's why I had to create my own soap for it. But if you are not so unlucky ( and I hope you are not), I still have some suggestions. For dry, sensitive skin I recommend Aveeno Calming Foaming Cleanser, I used it for years before finding my own recipie, it is extremely gentle, and does calm redness. Oily skin is usually also acne prone, therefore I suggest cleansers with salicylic acid. Normal, combo skin can use any gentle cleanser. After you wash your face, it is very important to moisturize, but that will be a separate post in future.
  2. Don't pick on your face. If you are one of those lucky people who never do it, then your life is even easier, you have only 4 rules to follow. But for the rest of us (including me), this is a very important rule to remember. Instead of picking, apply special medicated cream, it will sooth your mind about having something to pick on and will stop you from doing it. I strongly recommend treatment from Acne.org, it worked wonders for me.
  3. Eat healthy. Ok, you probably heard this advise too often. And the truth is, this simple rule could improve much more things than just skin. There is hundreds of articles online on this subject, I will give just few example of good food for skin: Berries: Most berries are rich of antioxidants.
Broccoli: Has vitanim A and helps regenerate skin cells faster.
Certain fish: It contains Omega3, "good fat" and helps reduce inflamation
Lean red meat or eggs: Sourse of iron
  4. Exercise and drink water. I put this two together because personally I find it difficult to drink water just by itself. If you love drinking water, perfect! But you still have to exercise. Exercising makes you sweat all the nastiness away, pumps up your blood, and makes you feel great too! The best part is that you can choose any type of exercise, depending on your goal or like, it will always benefit to your skin.
  5. Let your skin breath. If you are wearing makeup and foundations every day of your life, then at least let your skin free at night. As I mentioned before, it is exetremely important to wash off all your makeup before going to bed. Even better, have some makeup free weekends, your skin will say thank you. Enjoy some relaxation at home or even better somewhere surrounded by nature. I am sure you can find some days when you don't need to wear makeup, take them as your skin weekends.

Just one last thing, it is known (and personally noticed) that stress worsen skin immensely. I can not invent a rule to stop stressing out, in our everyday life it is almost impossible. Just try to reduce your stress level, relax more, spend time with nature, especially when you have something extremely stressful going on.

Believe me, if you follow all these rules, your skin condition will improve significantly. I hope I helped!

Nail Design: Gold Digger

Hello Beautifuls!!!

Today is just a short nail design tutorial, very simple, but looks stunning.

That's my inspiration

That's the products I used

That's the result

 Steps:
  1. Apply your base cote, I used Essie All In One Base
  2. Apply black nail polish, I put one thick (too impatient for two thin ones, heehee) coat of Revlon in Blackest Black
  3. Now it's time to put on some glitter. The trick is to start from the tip of your nail going down, contrary to what you usually do. First, put a very thin coat for about one third of your nail and then pack on some more glitter at the tip. I used Aldo Nail Lacquer in Gold Digger.
  4. Apply top coat. Ah, I didn't do this step, again, too impatient, sorry, :)
  5. Fix any imperfections, meaning nail polish on your fingers, by using a q-tip soaked in nail polish remover.
  6. Enjoy!

I hope you liked it!!!

Have a good day and gold on your nails!

Nars Orgazm Blush and Diorshow Blackout Review. Or One Of Those Days...

Hello Dolls!

So today as promised, new kind of writing! In reality, this post is a review of Nars Orgasm blush and Dior Diorshow Blackout mascara. But well, it will be written from third person about beauty junky Tyana. Yes, I gave her my name and I will be basing opinions and some evens from my real life but not all the time. For entertainment purposes I will be adding actions and maybe new characters. So please understand, it is not me I am writing about, she is just a character. But opinions in review are mine. So... Don't be too judgmental towards her and I hope you enjoy!!!

And if you don't want to read the whole review, you can always scroll down for the easy overall review.

Oh, it's been one of those days. It seems that if you are late once in your day, you will be late everywhere that day. "I shouldn't have stay reading that late last night!" Tyana thought brushing her teeth. Then she rushed to dress "Simple jeans and t-shirt will do", she thought, especially that she will be putting  big down jacket on top, outside was freezing. Fortunately, she had just few errands to run, and nothing special to dress for.
Tyana glanced at the clock, she had just a couple of minutes to do her make up. She looked in the mirror and made a face " Why aren't you one of those lucky girls who have perfect skin  and everything to go out without makeup?" she asked herself grabbing foundation and a brush. "Tap, tap, tap" she sang in her head applying her foundation. "Oh, now you just look dead", she said looking at her now uniform colored face. And that's when magic came out of her drawer. Nars Orgasm blush. This product always made Tyana happy, ever since she got it. It adds such a nice natural blush to the cheeks, that any face transforms into healthy looking happy face. No big sparkles on the cheeks, like it may look in the packaging, just natural glow. The blush color matches perfectly to be mistaken for natural blush, the one pregnant women have or... after being in cold. "Which is waiting for me in just a couple of minutes", Tyana thought grimly.
Then, after she was done with her face, she had time for just one thing to do, the one she would never skip (besides putting lip balm of course). Applying mascara. She was always on the look for one that will give her everything, volume, length and drama. And it seem to her that she finally found it: Dior Diorshow Blackout mascara. This made her lashes stand out, even if she would apply dark shadows, and made them look almost like fake eyelashes. Tyana had only one problem with it,  she really had to spend some time to apply it. If she didn't want to have spidery, clumpy look ( which she definitely didn't!), she had to go slowly and carefully with it. But well, result was well worth it, especially that she saved some time ignoring eyeshadows this time.
"Now I am done!" she said to her mirror. She looked at herself with surprise. Of course her makeup  seemed to be a little underdressed compare to her usual routine, but she still looked so... Natural and nice, like a young girl. Feeling young lifted her mood and she finally was ready to face the world.

Overall

Nars Orgasm Blush

Quality: 5/5
Color: Natural
Packaging: 5/5
Price: 3/5
Opinion: Definitely my favorite blush. It is quite expensive but it will last ages (seriously, how much blush can anyone use to finish it fast?). I think this peachy pink color can suite almost any skin tone, plus tiny glitter adds natural glow.

Dior Diorshow Blackout Mascara

Staying power: 5/5
Color: Extremely black
Brush: 4/5
Formula: 4/5
Price: 3/5
Opinion: If you are looking for dramatic eyelashes, this might be it. It's very black, gives volume and length. A little warning though, it takes time to get it right, it might get clumpy if you hurry (then again, which mascara wouldn't?)

As always, I hope you enjoyed!! Please leave me comments below!

How To Stick With Resolutions!

Hello there my Beautys!!!!

We all know that New Year is all about making resolutions... and then giving up. We all may have some tips, so lets share them to help each other! There are some of mine.

Tips:
  1. Start your resolution with "Never to.." . It may sound silly, but I find it more convincing than "Do..". So instead of saying "Eat healthy" put "Never eat junk food". It sounds more dramatic, and more disastrous if you thinking about breaking your resolution.
  2.  Reward yourself. This is very important, because that's what will keep you motivated. It can be very small purchase of nail polish when you finished your project on time or hair trim in salon if you stayed away from heat tools for a whole month. But even if your are money tight you can just give yourself a big bath time after hard week of accomplishments, and I am talking bubbles, candles and magazines :)
  3. Stay realistic. This is very important when you write your resolution list. Don't put yourself in the place when you can not stick to it simply because it's physically impossible.
  4. Start small. When you have big goal in your head, it is much easier to break it in parts and start slowly. That way you will see your own progress, reward yourself in process and it will be easier to stick to it and not to give up.
  5. Level yourself. Ok, this one is funny :) If you have several resolutions and goals, you may break them down and write them in level form. And so you can not pass to the next level and get your reward before you complete current one. This way it gives you a little thrill and fun :)

I hope this was helpful!!!

I wish you all stick to your resolutions and have fun!!! Happy holidays!!!
